The Digital Open Knowledge Summit (DOK) will take place in Bilbao on November 11 and 12, bringing together experts in technology and innovation. Devol RPA, technology company and active member of the Gaia Cluster, will participate in the event moderating a table as part of the presentation of the Open Low Code Labs project.
In April 2023, a meeting of the Gaia Cluster committees took place, where Devol suggested the proposal to build a country project around this technology. Since then, together with the cluster, Devol has led a process of evolution that has included meetings, presentations and workshops to materialize that initial vision. The goal is clear: to turn low code into a strategic tool to improve the competitiveness of the Basque industrial fabric and inspire others to think about innovation, ensuring technological development.
On the occasion of the DOK Summit, a space has been set up to present the Open Low Code Labs project, which will present research on open source low code tools aimed at improving the competitiveness of SMEs.
After the presentation of the project and its objectives, the work plan, the description of the consortium and the main results to be obtained will be shown.
Felipe Rebollo, Devol RPA’s business development director, will take over the baton and will be in charge of leading the round table where issues related to this powerful tool will be discussed.
In this way, and together with other representatives of the project consortium: Irontec, Imatia, IAmetza and Igarle members of the Gaia Cluster; Q2tec member of the Asturias ICT Cluster and Imatia, member of the Galician ICT Cluster, Rebollo will review what happens in the technological world when low code is used; the characteristics of low code open source; what impact has the technology as an ally for the growth of companies; and what are the advantages and barriers to the deployment of this development technology.
The table will be followed by a space dedicated to questions from the audience where they can resolve their doubts and concerns, as well as make contributions about previous experiences or ideas that have arisen during the conversation.
With this project, Devol redoubles its commitment to the development of applications using low code, a tool that enables the rapid creation of apps. A technology that also allows the review and adaptation of changes during development thanks to the possibility of making previews from almost the start of programming, generating applications 10 times faster with up to 70% fewer resources.
